The name, Third Leg, is inspired by the riddle of Oedipus and the Sphinx:
What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?
The solution: A human, who crawls on all fours as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and walks with a cane in old age.

Half our sticks are sold to collectors and the other half to users.
Collectors tend to buy groupings to display on walls. Some collect theme based sticks such as birds or
Florida imagery while others prefer a more random variety.
All our sticks are constructed of hard maple, painted with the finest acrylics,
and varnished or waxed. Each cane or walking stick we create is a work of art. Those who use them
for support, consider them fabulous fashion statements. Each stick has its own personality that
creates a special identity for the user/owner. Should you like to commision an item contact us.
Available canes can be purchased via paypal through this site.
